Text From Source: A wedding of interest took place at 7:30 o'clock last night in Trinity Methodist Church, when Alice Nelson became the bride of Alfred Edward Chase, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Chase, 310 Van Norman street. Rev. W. S. Reid officiated and the ceremony was witnessed by about twenty-five invited guests and a large number of friends of the young couple. A. F. Thornborough, organist of Trinity Church, played the Wedding March as the bridal party entered the church, the bride on the arm of her brother, J. H. Nelson, who gave her in marriage. The attendants were Miss Alice Adams, nurse in training at the Port Arthur General Hospital, of which the bride is a graduate, and Fenton Ross. The bride wore her travelling suit of navy blue tricotine, the coat opening over a blouse of peach shade georgette and hat of sand shade duvtyn with ribbon trimming in contrasting shades. She carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses. Miss Adams wore a gown of navy blue georgette crepe trimmed with silver and jet and large picture hat with French flowers. She carried a sheaf of pink carnations. During the signing of the register, H. Chase, brother of the groom, sang "Untill." At the conclusion of the ceremony the guests adjourned to the home of the bride's sister, Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Fisher, 315 Van Norman street, where wedding supper was served from a beautifully appointed bridal table, centered with the wedding cake, after which Mr. and Mrs. Chase left for a two week's honeymoon in the East. At the depot many friends gathered to offer their congratulations. Mr. Chase is employed with the Customs in Port Arthur and they will make their home for the present at 310 Van Norman street.
